I first connected with Adam in early 2023 when I was wondering if I should apply in R3  which he advised me against given my level of preparation. When I set out to apply in R1 later in the year I did an elaborate exercise speaking to almost all the consultants in the market (20+) that work with Indian students. I kept going back to my conversation with Adam, as no one I spoke to could match Adam’s clarity, reason, and authenticity. As I look back after a long 10 month journey, I am glad I worked with Adam on my applications, otherwise the result would have been different.

Adam was there for me at every step, literally every step – whether it was 5 minutes before the submission deadline (even though it was wee hours of the morning for him) or five months before the deadline helping me introspect. His years of experience in this field has exposed him to every possible question you will have and situation you will find yourself in (or put yourself in) – making him an amazing ally. Whether it was stupid questions on the form, doubts on having conversations with my recommenders or editing the essay –  his strict feedback, backed by solid logic, became the reassuring voice of reason in my journey.

While there is no doubt Adam is amazing at what he does, he is also an excellent human being who holds himself to the highest professional and ethical standards. While this is a quality most assume to not necessarily be correlated to the outcome – trust me – as the deadline gets closer, and you need your consultant more and more, and you find yourself competing for their time with all their clients – Adam is the kind of human you want on your side. Adam continued to believe me even as rejections started to roll in, becoming a true anchor in my journey.

Adam’s amazing mind also makes him an extremely insightful interview coach. As I struggled with performance pressure, personal biases, my own insecurities – he helped me identify them and deal with them upfront. His mocks, which in his words were “safe spaces where you can fuck up” were invaluable for my final preparation were the single-most important reason for my success on the final day.

We had our first conversation in early August 2023. I really wanted to apply for schools in R1, but he strongly advised against that approach because my essays and GMAT scores were not good enough for top schools given my over-represented minority background. Following this bitter advice, I resisted the temptation and did not apply anywhere in R1.
Adam is a caring person, but that does not mean he will always give you a soft response. If he thinks your essay, no matter how much time and effort you have put into, is a crap, he will say so. If he sees some potential in you but you are not making full effort to realize it, he will make you do it.
His non-bullshit approach with extensive experience and expertise was critical to translate my non-business background into what would work in the game of MBA admission. He carefully read my materials and suggested specific things for what to include, highlight, or remove from my stories and how to position myself for a business school based on my life trajectory. Moreover, as his turnaround time rarely exceeded 24 hours, I was able to adjust my courses of action quickly and effectively.
In the end, I did the best I could, and based on my experience, I can tell you that you will have no regret for choosing Adam on your side.

I worked with Adam on my MBA applications for Stanford and HBS, and got admitted into both my dream schools. I cannot stress enough how valuable Adam’s guidance was throughout the process. He pushed me to think deeply and introspectively, asking thought-provoking questions that forced me to dig deeper into my experiences. This helped me craft a narrative that truly reflected who I am as an individual. Every session with him was incredibly productive, as his feedback was candid and constructive, allowing me to make swift progress with my applications. One of the highlights of working with Adam was his assistance with mock interviews. He was spot on and as a result, my actual interviews felt very familiar, thanks to the preparation we had done together. Adam’s commitment, expertise, and unique approach make him an outstanding guide, and I would vouch for him in a heartbeat.

I came with a highly complicated background of working in multiple early-stage startups. I worked with the same set of people but in different roles, so that made it even more complicated. I knew my goal was to return to my country to scale these companies but struggled with my story coming through, especially with all the complexities. Adam, very clearly, understood my work, my different roles and goals, and put together my story in a clear way. He was able to digest all my content and break it down into simple statements. As president of AIGAC, he interacts with several members of admissions from most top business schools across the US. This enables him to also think from an admissions member’s view which really helps!  Adam’s interview prep is also very comprehensive and school-specific and has helped me with my Booth and CBS interviews. His large network of consultants meant I put in touch with his colleagues who also mock-interviewed me. Lastly, I’ve had several discussions with Adam regarding life outside of the MBA applications. All in all, he’s guided me throughout the process but also has been a friend and I recommend working with him to anyone who asks me!
